Matrix PDM Engineering provided marine design, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering for a major coal export terminal expansion to increase the throughput capacity to 15 million tons per year.
The project scope included the addition of four 0-2,500 tph Stamler reclaim feeders with 72-inch transfer conveyors, a 72-inch reversing yard belt to transfer coal to a new barge loader or to an existing shipping system, a barge loader with associated 72-inch conveyors, a 72-inch conveyor from a reversing yard belt to existing north yard shipping belts, and a barge loader mounted on a new dock.
