Shoot for The Heart is an event in which proceeds go to Tulsa’s American Heart Association.
The event host, Longshot Ranch, requires that each participant on your team sign and submit a waiver of release.

I, one of the below named participants (including my minor dependent(s) if I am an employee of one of the participant companies (Longshot Ranch/Matrix/legacy WPX/Devon Energy)) intend to participate in the Devon Energy & Matrix Service Company’s (collectively referred to herein as the “Sponsors”) American Heart Association Shoot for the Heart Sporting Clays Tournament on April 16, 2021 (the “Event”) hosted by Longshot Ranch. I HEREBY ACCEPT ALL RISKS TO MY HEALTH, INCLUDING INJURY AND DEATH, THAT MAY RESULT FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT, INCLUDING TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE EVENT, AND I HEREBY INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND RELEASE THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, LONGSHOT RANCH AND THE SPONOSORS, THEIR CONTRACTORS AND VENDORS, AND ANY PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, PARTNERS, AND THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, REPRESENTATIVES, INVITEES, INSURERS, AND EVENT SPONSORS AND VOLUNTEERS (COLLECTIVELY “LONGSHOT RANCH GROUP”) FROM ANY LIABILITY TO ME, MY PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES, ESTATE, HEIRS, AND ASSIGNS FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, SUITS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION FOR LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO MY PROPERTY, AND FOR ANY AND ALL ILLNESS OR INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, THAT MAY RESULT FROM OR OCCUR DURING THE EVENT AND TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE EVENT (COLLECTIVELY “CLAIMS”), EVEN IF SUCH CLAIMS MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE NEGLIGENCE OR FAULT OF THE LONGHSHOT RANCH GROUP IN ANY DEGREE AND UNDER ANY RULE OF OR THEORY OF LAW.
I further agree to indemnify, defend, hold harmless, and release the Longshot Ranch Group from liability for the injury or death of any third party and any damage to property of any third party that arises from or may result from my participation in the Event and associated travel and my actions arising therefrom as well as other property owned, leased, or controlled by the Longshot Ranch Group.
I, on behalf of myself and my heirs and assigns for valuable consideration received, hereby consent and agree that the Longshot Ranch Group has the irrevocable right to take, keep, and use photographs, images, film, tape, or other recordable media (electronic or otherwise) (collectively the “Images”) of me in perpetuity.
I consent that my name and identity can be revealed in the Image, by descriptive text or commentary associated with the Image. I waive any rights, claims, or interests I may have to control the use of my identity, likeness, and the Images in whatever media used and I agree that the Images belong solely to the Longshot Ranch Group. I grant the Longshot Ranch Group the right to copyright the Images in Longshot Ranch Group’s own name or any other name the Longshot Ranch Group may choose. I grant the Longshot Ranch Group the right to use, re-use, publish, and re-publish the Images in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other video, photographs, images, and other visual representations in any medium and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, promotion, public service, public education, advertising, and trade. I understand and acknowledge that no financial or other remuneration will be provided for the Images.
I release and discharge the Longshot Ranch Group from any and all claims, suits, actions, and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the Images including but not limited to any claims for defamation or invasion of privacy.
This Release will be construed under the laws of the State of Oklahoma without regard to conflicts of law provisions that would apply the law of another jurisdiction. The sole venue for resolution of claims, damages, or lawsuits arising out of this Release is the State and Federal courts located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Should any portion of this release be found to violate any law or public policy of this state it is my express intention to absolve Longshot Ranch Group of as much liability, including absolute immunity from liability, as the law will allow and expressly agree that this release shall be interpreted to provide the most immunity from liability as allowed and the offending portions of this release shall be ignored and the remainder shall survive providing the utmost level of immunity from liability as I state above.
I acknowledge understand all the hazards and dangers associated with outdoor activities and the shooting sports and assume all risk associated with the activities offered here that may result in illness, personal injury, or death. Further, I agree that if I suffer injury or illness, Longshot Ranch or the Event sponsor can, at my cost, arrange any medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as it or they deem necessary for my health and safety and I hereby consent to receive such treatment and services and agree to be responsible for and pay any charges related thereto. I understand that non-compliance with rules for the Event may result in my removal from the Event.
I certify that I have read and fully understand this RELEASE. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a binding contract and I sign it of my own free will.
